Picked the Texans:
Brett

Picked the Colts:
Atu

Picked the Bears:
Casey

Picked the Bengals:

Ouch. Anyway, good luck to those that were brave enough to pick the Lions last week (plus Ryan who likes living on the edge by taking the Eagles).

Here are the teams that you have already picked:
Brian Browns Lions
Dave Raiders Lions
Bibler Chiefs Lions
Migs Raiders Lions
Ryan Bucs Eagles

Go ahead and submit your picks in the comments as usual.

  1. My suicide suicide pick is Ryan, because he always forgets the blog's URL.

  2. Ha! I remembered this time!

Syke I looked through old emails for 20 minutes. My pick is the Bills because the Saints are going 16-0.

And for the degenerate gamblers out there, my Free Money Pick of the Week (FMPOTW!) is New England -4 because the Pats are tirrred of it!

  3. OShea - what was your record last year on FMPOTWs again?

  4. My money's on the line here:

    NO at BUF, 52.5 OVER

    CHI at SEA, SEA +2.5

    ATL at NE, 47 OVER

  5. I'll take the Bucs to blow it again. Go Giants! (On another note, I'm also predicting another Cowboys loss just because they don't have a reliable QB like Brett Favre to manage the game for them - Sorry Stan)

  6. You're going to pick the Cowboys to lose every week just because you want to spite me! Well, for my reverse spite, I predict that San Fran will finish this week with a 3-0 record and hold Adrian Peterson to under 100yds rushing with at most 1 touchdown.

  7. No one's taking the Bengals this week against the defending champs?

    Steve:
NO v BUF OVER (I would have picked over until the line was 120)
    CHI -2.5
ATL v NE UNDER (bad weather)

  8. Brett, I voluntarily picked up the Bengals defense this week against the Steelers. That should tell you all you need to know.

  9. I'm going with the Seahawks and their anti-dreaded passing attack this week.

  10. Trent Edwards just overthrew a single covered T.O., didn't know he was capable of that.

  11. Random cool stat from the Fox Sports crew: Drew Brees is 3 for 4 against Andy Roddick in junior tennis.

  12. Everyone survived this week!

The Bucs, Browns, Seahawks, and Bills all fell this week.

    NO v. BUF was under
    CHI beat the spread
    NE v NO was under.

    Steve: 0-3
    Me: 2-1

    Random picks again next week?

  13. 50+ yd TD from Manning to Garcon. His THIRD of the half. Not good for the Cards. Or the rest of the league.

  14. Looks like the Miami blueprint last week was a more successful way to guard Indy, despite the crap they got all week for trying to run an 8 minute drill in 3 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I posit that successful ways to guard Indy do not include Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

  16. The 8 minute drill certainly caught the Colts off-guard. The clock keeper, however, was unfazed.

  17. Steve -- not sure what my exact FMPOTW record was last year but it was around .500.

Alas, "have no fear in betting with me this year!" as my new, simpler methodology features the following:

    1. Only spread betting
    2. No number-ology
    3. Support like "the Steelers want to win this one"

  18. Here's my betting strategy:

If the game's being played in Condiment Colliseum, take the under.
