Happy Fourth of July everyone!
For my Fourth, I was in New York City with my dad, uncle/aunt and baby cousin (note: she can write a short story better than you can, and she's in the 2nd grade. Yes that's a challenge) watching the Yankees take on the Blue Jays. It was nice watching Chien-Ming Wang only give up 5 runs in 6 1/3, rather than 10 in 2 1/3, and it was nice watching Doc Halladay get hit up for 3 home runs (one of which landed about 20 feet to the left of me (I was sitting in the first row of bleachers, right behind the bullpen) and bounced into the field. Vernon Wells picked up the ball, and threw it to me, except he has a limp noodle for an arm and the ball barely made it into the bullpen, where it was thrown to a younger and a more sympathetic-looking fan) and lose his bid to become the majors' first 11-game winner at our expense.
It was also nice convincing my family to stay an extra inning into the 12th so we could see Jorge Posada line a single into center in the bottom of the 12th with A-Rod on second, watch Vernon Wells pick up the ball, remember that he had a limp noodle for an arm that couldn't get the ball to a guy in the first row of the outfield, and just drop the ball like he was T.O. and headed off the field.
What's more important was that Jorge managed to put a positive spin on what was quickly becoming a frustrating day watching us put runners on base only to watch Robinson Cano choke like Bush on a pretzel. His statline:
0/6, .000 OBS, 10 runners stranded. We stranded 16 for the day and he accounted for 62.5% of it by himself. Basically Cano was the LeBron James of stranding his own teammates today. But the aggregate doesn't tell the whole story. Let's take a look at Cano's at bats:

Cano - worst bunt ever, Teixiera thrown out at 3rd.
Cano ended fully half of the innings that we watched the Yankees bat. Really, he has killed more rallies than the Soviet secret police.
