Found this out today - the infamous 5th down game 20 years ago that cost Missouri a win over then Big-8 rival Colorado, and a story about the refereeing crew that allowed it to happen.
But first, notice how NO ONE in the press box (save for a brief moment when one of the announcers was like, hey, it's third down, not second down) thinks it's weird that Colorado got 5 tries to knock it into the endzone:
