2009 in photo form, from Sports Illustrated, highlights all the big story lines of the season. To me the biggest story in terms of impact is the evolution of NFL coaching, both in playcalling and use of talent. For one thing, just look at the exhaustiveness of Sean Payton's playcalling reference sheet cum color coded diner menu up there. Awesome. A super sneaky thing for him to do next season would be to stick to perfect execution on vanilla sets when opposing teams are madly preparing for the exotic. What's somewhat under the radar is his ability to get the most out of players like Reggie Bush and Jonathan Vilma who are athletic but don't at all fit the stereotypes of their respective positions. Add on the fantastic season of Ray Rice, another unconventionally successful player, and it seems teams should be looking at personnel decisions very differently going forward.

Now Colston with a short catch. An incomplete pass by Brees. Third and 5: Brees finds Billy Miller, who is replacing an injured Mark Campbell. WHAT! ANOTHER TOUCHDOWN. BREES LETS FLY FROM THE DALLAS 42, AND HENDERSON SKIES BETWEEN TWO COWBOYS FOR THE CATCH AND FALLS DOWN AT THE 4. BEFORE THE 2 COWBOYS CAN REACH HIM, HENDERSON SLITHERS/CRAWLS/LUNGES INTO THE END ZONE. TOUCHDOWN!. Extra point is good, and now it’s 42-17. 3:47 to go in the quarter.
